Principal’s Blog – July 2022

Where do I start? This has been a half term that has gone by in the blink of an eye. We have had a residential in Year 2 and a beach fun day in Reception. This is all on top of drumba, skip 2 b fit and a performance from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. It has also been great to   invite parents back into school for various curriculum celebrations and also Sports Day.

A huge well done must also go to our Year 2 and Year 6 pupils who took part in their end of Key Stage exams. You all performed wonderfully well and we are very proud of you. When the results are validated next term, it will prove to be a record year.

We have also produced a promotional video of Tameside  Primary Academy too, which showcases all of the  wonderful changes that we have made in recent times. It is available here:

The link can also be viewed on our various social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram.

More changes are coming too within the school! We are planning to refurbish the outside stairs on Walton Road, there will be new toilets in Key Stage 1 and not forgetting our exciting immersive room which will enhance various subjects taught.

I must end by thanking all families for their support over the last year. It has been difficult coming back from the pandemic, but the children really are a credit to each and everyone of us. We will go from strength to strength next year and be even better!

Have a restful Summer recharging those batteries in preparation for next year. Enjoy the Summer.
