Tameside Primary Academy believes that all children should be encouraged to achieve their potential through an engaging curriculum delivered in a supportive and caring environment.
At times, some pupils may need extra support to develop their confidence, be more resilient and raise their self-esteem. We support this through a variety of ways not only through our curriculum, but also through nurture, forest mentoring, 1-1 mentoring and support from external providers. The aim of these sessions is to provide a consistent, supportive environment to allow children to build trusting relationships with adults and gain the skills they need in order to learn in larger classes.
The Local Authority, as required by law, has produced a ‘Local Offer’ which sets out the support they expect to be available for children and young people in Sandwell with special educational needs and disabilities.
