Principal’s Blog – December 2022

Thank you again for your support over the last half term. It has been great to see parents in school supporting workshops and visits, it is really appreciated. Your dedication with supporting ourselves and the children is invaluable.

This year has been hugely successful for Tameside in many ways. This half term we have had residentials to Plas Gwynant, trips to the church, coffee mornings for attendance. We have also continued with swimming and have had our immersive room completed. Please sign up to our social media pages for lots more information.

Our results continue to take huge leaps in all Key Stages—we are above Sandwell averages and also national averages. This is testament to our children, teachers and support from families.

In January, I want to ask a huge favour. That favour is to help us raise our attainment further by helping us raise attendance. It is vitally important that the children are in school everyday so that they can learn important skills and thrive when they are older. Every missed day really is a missed opportunity to learn something new. I thank you in advance in your support on this.

We look forward to a prosperous new year in 2023. Have a restful and safe Christmas break.
