Year 4 pupils enjoy creative residential trip to Ingestre Hall

Our year 4 pupils recently embarked on an exciting residential trip to Ingestre Hall in Staffordshire, a Residential Arts Centre facility which provides pupils with an inspiring and supportive environment to explore various art forms delivered around a central theme: ‘Courage’.

Pupils were able to express their interpretation of the theme through a variety of music, drama, dance, film, photography, animation and visual arts-based activities and produced some amazing pieces of work!

Some of the highlights include vibrant collages and an original drama performance that the children created by combining a range of short scenes and sketches that they had created together as a class.

Designed to complement the national curriculum while giving pupils unique learning experiences outside of the classroom, the trip also aimed to develop pupils’ confidence, resilience and wellbeing and creative potential.

The trip was a great success and enjoyed by all, with the children feeling inspired to put what they learned into practice back in the classroom. We look forward to providing similar experiences for our other year groups later in the year.
